Demands for the revitalization of indigenous languages have sparked creative endeavors among young Chilean artists across generations. Notably, the Mapuche language has undergone a recovery process, becoming a significant element in popular music in southern Chile. This paper delves into the literary aspects of the musical discourse presented by Natural Es Estylo, specifically through an analysis of their song "Melipulli" performed in collaboration with Mapuche rapper Luanko. To achieve this objective, a rigorous content analysis was conducted utilizing specialized software. Additionally, documentary and ethnographic sources were meticulously triangulated with the lyrics of "Melipulli." The findings reveal that the revitalization of the Mapuche language is intricately linked to decolonizing strategies. Moreover, it serves as a powerful discourse of resistance, challenging hegemonic narratives surrounding the history of the Mapuche people.
