This paper aims to make visible the work of the Cuban writer Rebeca Murga Vicens through the analysis of the novel Los aprendices and from a recount of the characteristics of the crime narrative in its more general variants, confronting the criteria of various specialists of the topic, and reviewing how it has behaved in Cuba until today. This is based on a structural analysis, as Cedomil Goiæ proposes, to determine, from the text itself, the insertion of this author in the contemporary Cuban generational panorama. From the textual analysis, are provided the specificities of the work that allow its author to achieve a particular author’s voice, on the margin, without generational affiliation, despite the inevitable influences.
