The investigation was realized the year 2022, financed by Teacher Knowledge Center of the University of Chile. It tackles the issue of the implementation of the guidelines belonging to the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development from United Nations (UN), especially the objective N°4: Education Quality related to the approach of long-life learning (ATLV for its acronym in Spanish), in the modality of regular education in the Program of Adults Learning and Education (EPJA for its acronym in Spanish) of Chile. The objective of this study was to identify difficulties of the modality establishing the approach via pedagogical-didactic procedures and decisions of the educational establishments. To satisfy this investigation, the team used a qualitative methodology, consisting of multiple cases of study based on the comprehensive-interpretative paradigm. Interviews were applied to managers, focus groups to directive teams and teachers form Valparaíso and Metropolitana regions, obtaining results that suggest difficulties to applying the ALTV relates to: Lack of curricular flexibility, poor attention to diversity and little care for EPJA students learning trajectories. These variables recognize the existing gap between the development of the approach and its implementation in this educative modality.
