How do you live being a lesbian inside an evangelical church? This question poses an analysis that crosses the religious, sexual, and sexual identity dimensions, deeply complex issues to address even in the XXI century. The intersection between these dimensions is a subject of little analysis in Latin America, both in the academy and in the churches, therefore those who face living experiences that stress this intersection, do so mainly in the constant problem of following the impulse of being who are or conform to traditional discourses and practices that consider heterosexuality as God's law without any room for different options, a discourse that transcends the churches and even has been installed in public debate. From the study of eight cases of adult women who identify as lesbians; this article analyzes the processes of socialization and identity construction experienced by lesbians who participate or have participated in the evangelical world in Chile. Milestones and stages are presented in the trajectory of these women, who in all cases show experience of breakage and rejection. However, they also identify experiences of self-affirmation as lesbians.
