The nutritional content of a Lycalopex culpaeus feces collected in December 2021 in the Bosque Pehuen Park, located in the Andean foothills of La Araucania Region, Chile, is described. The analysis of the fecal content shows the incidence of two groups of dietary importance (small mammals and insects), being the coleopterous insects the most frequent, highlighting among these the Scarabaeidae Brachysternus patagoniensis Jameson and Smith, which represent 94.2% of the total number of consumed preys. The results show that this species of beetle can be an important food in the diet of L. culpaeus when the populations of these insects are in their period of greatest abundance.
