The presence of Epuraea (Haptoncus) ocularis Fairmaire (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae), a cosmopolitan species associated with fruits and other parts of decaying plants, is reported in Chile. A short description of the species is included, the localities where specimens were recollected are provided and information is given on the diverse plants in which adults were found.
