This paper focuses on the image that begins with the verse "CRUZ DEL SUR" in Ecuatorial by Vicente Huidobro as an axis around which the poem produces a particular reader response that exhibits the motifs and procedures developed by its writing, and furthermore as an autonomous object produced by verbal relations, in accordance with the creationist conception of the poem as a new event.
