We assessed the extent to which different host attributes (genetic lineage, age, Bd infection) and extrinsic factors (climate, human impact factors) influence the structure of the skin microbiome of the four-eyed frog (Pleurodema thaul) along a latitudinal gradient. Bd infection and host developmental stage were the only predictors affecting microbiome richness. Macroclimate and human impact factors do not seem to play a role in shaping the amphibian skin microbiome.image
