We examine the political positions of women linked to the Popular Unity in Concepci & oacute;n during the government of President Salvador Allende (1970 - 1973). We reviewed the Women's Congress where it was discussed how to address the problems of women in a time of political transition, from a capitalist society to one oriented to socialism. We address the participation of women in organizations that emerged during the political crisis, such as the Women's Patriotic Front (FPM). Finally, the views of women in the political opposition are also examined.
