Based on the critiques made by Friedrich Kittler towards Walter Benjamin, specifically regarding Benjamin's alleged lack of technological knowledge, this text aims to demonstrate how Benjamin structures some of his concepts from a media perspective. In particular, the article focuses on the concept of "dialectics at standsti l " and its intrinsic relationship with a stereoscopic device that Benjamin refers to repeatedly: the Kaiserpanorama . Countering passages of his Berlin Childhood around 1900 and some notes from the Book of the Passages , it becomes evident how the notion of dialectics at standstill is articulated with the phenomenon of stereoscopy.
