There are fewer than 600 physicists in Chile, small compared to the total population of almost 19 million. Within those numbers, women in physics appear to be a historical minority. In this report, we summarize the development of physics in Chile, focusing on the contributions and participation of women from the 1800s to this day. We also evaluate the distribution of female physicists in the Chilean workforce, which has seen significant imbalances in the past three decades. Although Chile has seen progress in role models and initiatives, there is still work to be done.
