Abstract
In this article I will try to explore the remote origins of the author model to which Juan Luis Martínez attributes: the figure of the medieval copyist, commentator or glossator. For this I will fundamentally resort to In the Vineyard of the Text (2002) by Ivan Illich, a key secondary source of the Didascalicon (12th century) by Hugues de Saint Victor.
