The following writing explores the memories of women and men who worked as children in the hacienda system in the Romeral commune (VII region). Through oral history, we delve into child labor from a gender perspective, aiming to recognize the characteristics of this work and analyze the various social dynamics that allowed the system to legitimize it. This system assumed as immutable truths the social roles assigned to each gender, conditioning the tasks of boys and girls.
