The Irrigation Improvement Plan seeks to provide an effective way to deal with water scarcity and the limitations imposed by the municipality, which suffers from the area of Ranquilco, Commune of Litueche, Chile, through an irrigation system that allows it to better use the available water for the strawberries, maintaining the stable production and quality of its fruits. For the development of the integral system, the following improvements were made: flow regulation, determination of the theoretical irrigation time, adequate distribution of emitters, standardization of measurements and irrigation radius, selection of materials to be used in the irrigation system, water storage system, distribution of hoses in the plantation, optimization of the infiltration of irrigation water, automation of the irrigation system and performance indicators and automation of the system for detecting failures in the irrigation system. All these improvements allow a saving of water resources. The economic analysis indicates that the project is viable, profitable and expandable to other types of berries..
