This article shows the Andean affinities of some terms that encode Mapudungun motion events. The method of study employed is the diachronic comparative analysis of linguistic forms. The data has been taken from primary and secondary metalinguistic sources of Mapudungun and Andean languages. The results show correspondences between Mapudungun, Puquina, Quechua, Aymara, Kallawaya and Kunza. This suggests the existence of contacts between languages that reveal the existence of long-standing intercultural relationships that should continue to be investigated.
