Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis is an atypical inflammatory bone disease that affects mainly children and young adults. Clinically, it is characterized by a gradual onset and recurrent periods of worsening and improvement. Laboratory tests, histopathological studies, and bacterial culture results are often inconclusive or negative. This is a diagnosis made by exclu-sion. We present a case with typical features of this disease, which may take years to diagnose if not suspected.
