Worldwide is estimated in approximately 650,000 new cases diagnosed of squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck , and 300,000 deaths from this condition each year, with a high incidence in India, Australia, France, Brazil, and South Africa. Today, it is accepted that the best way to assess the incidence and mortality of cancer is made with population-based cancer registries. In this article, the relevance of squamous carcinoma of the head and neck as a public health problem is mentioned, and how focusing it analysis in order to provide a better care.
