Llamara Salt flat is a saline system located in the region of Tarapacá, Atacama Desert, where biodiversity is dominated by Diatoms, Cyanobacteria, Bacteroides, and Proteobacteria, as well as many vertebrate species, such as foxes, birds, and rodents. Considering the effects associated with climate change and the high susceptibility of this ecosystem, the ecosystem services provided to the community in the following categories were evaluated: Provision, Regulation, Support, and Cultural to improve the social, economic, and environmental environment in the commune of Pozo Almonte.
