In this work we ask ourselves how and through what activities the world of Contact Improvisation was produced, organized and stabilized in Buenos Aires between 1985 and 2005, how their leaderships were built; and what were the main controversies of it. Considering a certain brand of origin since its inception in the United States (improvisation, an egalitarian ideology and spontaneity along with a type of informal and decentralized organization) we reconstruct the history of its implantation in the Argentine capital. In this regard, we propose the existence of a series of & DLANGBRAC;shock waves & drangbrac; in which activities and knowledge are incorporated and overlapping, which are organized in three moments: i) original accumulation, ii) plastic infrastructure and iii) multiplication. Within this periodization, we identify leaderships around teaching, management and performance quality, as well as controversies over pedagogical and technical aspects, on the one hand, and on the degree of codification of dance spaces, on the other. The article triangulates individual and collective interviews with the review of documents (flyers, photographs, writings), focusing on the main references of this dance.
