| Prof. Sirakoulis has participated as a principal investigator in more than 21 scientific programmes and projects funded from the Greek Government and Industry as well as the European Commission, such as EU AMDREL (Architectures and Methodologies for Dynamic REconfigurable Logic) project IST-2001-34379, which was awarded in VLSI 2005 and ASP-DAC 05, and EU VIEWFINDER (Vision and Chemiresistor Equipped Web-connected Finding Robots) project INFSO-IST-FP7-ICT-2013.2.1 STREP proposal-045541. He is also principal investigator and coordinator of following projects funded by GSRT, namely 'Memristive nanomaterials and electronic devices for quantum and neuromorphic computing' funded by GSRT in the context of Greek-Russian bilateral joint research projects and in the past of 'Design of Low Power Embedded System for Implementation of Multimedia and Wireless LAN Networks' (PENED'03-03E Delta 593) (1/11/2005 - 30/06/2009), 'Memory Management Methodology for Real-Time and Low Power Embedded Multimedia Systems' (PENED'99) (1/2/2000 - 31/7/2001), 'Green Center: Energy-Efficient MPSoCs for Datacenters' (2012-2014) and 'Supermicro: Energy Management Optimization of Autonomous Hybrid Systems' (2011-2014). Finally, he is Substitute Member of the MC of the COST ACTION IC1401 Memristors - Devices, Models, Circuits, Systems and Applications (MemoCiS), EUROPRACTICE representative for DUTh and he has served as a member at the EU IDEAS programme for GREECE. He is serving as Vice Chair of IEEE Task Force on Unconventional Computing from 2017, in TCPs of IEEE, like IEEE Nanoelectronics and Gigascale Systems Technical Committee, IEEE Cellular Nanoscale Networks and Array Computing Technical Committee, TPC IEEE Parallel and Distributed Systems, etc. |
