The purpose is to theoretically substantiate and empirically study of the psychological content parameters of the relationship between social desirability and value orientations of adolescents. A new view on the formation of value orientations of the individual as a permanent transformation throughout human life is presented. It is noted that the formation of value orientations is the most important step in the formation of personality. It is established that social desirability correlates with the value orientations of the individual (p <.05; p <.01). It is noted that young people with a high level of social desirability are characterized by a change in values under the influence of society, but for people with a low level – this tendency is not observed.
