While international law recognizes the exercise of the state sovereignty to regulate the entry of foreigners into their borders, states that respects human rights should observe the parameters developed in international systems of human rights for their protection in cases of visa refusals and revocations, and its consequent decree of expulsion. This study examines the Chilean migratory law regarding impediments or prohibitions of entry and visa denials or revocations, in consideration of these international standards.
