The following article aims to reflectively deepen the question about “Chilean philosophy” and “philosophy in Chile”, as points of critical contrast that allow to express a certain conception of philosophy and how it develops in our academic spaces, struggling between identification with international debates as universal issues, and the originality and situational particularity as identification of a proper and authentic philosophy. This reflection begins with the reading and criticism of a short article by the philosopher A. Ibarra, about a recent publication in Peru, of a magazine dedicated to Chilean thought, that allows a fresh approach to the issue and the explanation of their lack of discussion and deepening.
