Since 2005, a criminal justice system specifically for adolescents between 14 and 18 years of age has existed in Chile. The main objective of this criminal justice system is social reintegration. In this context, education is the main focus of rehabilitation. The study presented here is a case study that involved the use of qualitative methods to determine the existence of a link between the psychopedagogical intervention carried out by students of the Pedagogy in Differential Education course at the Universidad Católica de Temuco and the continuing education of adolescents who had been charged with infractions of the law. Data collection was done through the application of semi-structured interviews to individuals from different programs. The interviews were then coded and analyzed considering multiple categories. The results show the relevance of the psychopedagogical intervention with young law violators. This relevance originates from the coherence of the objectives embodied in the current legal framework and from the requirements of the Pedagogy degree at the Universidad Católica de Temuco, in addition to the relevance of the strategies used in this context to favor reintegration and school continuity.
