The objective of this work does not seek to present the subject of Dante and the Scholastic as something new within the academic forum but, on the contrary, it tries to bring the reader closer to an old and important line of research that is still in force and, however, on some occasions it is almost forgotten. In order to be able to correctly frame in a modest article the vast interpretation of Dante's work in relation to the Scholastic, we will first begin by making a terminological precision about what is understood by "the Scholastic". Then the different aspects will be addressed according to which it is argued that Dante has not only been one of the best students of that school, but has also served within the history of universal thought as one of the most distinguished teachers of the Christian Scholastic. Finally, the perenne condition of the Scholastic's magisterium will have to be revealed and, within it, that of Dante himself.
