The purpose of this article is to offer an approach to Michael Lowy's Latin American Marxism. In my hypothesis, Lowy's Marxism is marked by a radical critique of Eurocentrism and lies in permanent dialogue with the "warm currents" of European Marxism. Applying the theoretical approach of the sociology of revolutionary intellectuals and through a qualitative methodology of hermeneutical nature, we will analyze two central dialogic knots in Lowy's work, expressed in the affinities between Leon Trotsky and Ernesto Guevara, such as those of Jose Carlos Mariategui and Walter Benjamin.
