According to preliminary tests made on RHAPSODY, the code is able to well reproduce 1D and 2D centro-symmetric structures up to a dynamic range of 0.5%.

| MATISSE has been built by a consortium composed of French (INSU-CNRS in Paris and OCA in Nice), German (MPIA, MPIfR and University of Kiel), Dutch (NOVA and University of Leiden), and Austrian (University of Vienna) institutes. It was defined, funded and built in close collaboration with ESO. The Conseil Departemental des Alpes-Maritimes in France, the Konkoly Observatory and Cologne University have also provided resources to manufacture the instrument.
