This article discusses the exploration of social imaginaries configured from the idea of virtual reality and has been taken by Latinamerican science fiction as a relevant thematic point to interrogate and put in tension the development of human life in a technologized world embracing the Internet as the exclusive way to access, problematizing the virtual network progress by emphasizing the impact they have on bodies, memory and society, as well as the political and socioeconomic implications that this type of world unfolds.
