The notion of finalism on Gassendi has been subject of critical interpretations in the context of actual historiography. Since these perspectives, the recurrence to telos have two options: or it is an element outside from his materialism or it has a resemblance to vitalism, which means than Gassendi included into his system some external principles. In this paper, I would like to defend that into Gassendi's philosophical work it is possible to find the idea of natural finality in the mechanism context and it can be named by Teleomechanism. Indeed, inclusion of finalism can be observed into Gassendi's opera and this aloud us to affirm that finalism is a crucial element, proper and immanent of his natural philosophy.
