The photo book "Yuyanapaq. Para recordar" was published by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Peru and presented in 2003 as part of the research on Peru's internal conflict carried out around the period of the Peruvian internal armed conflict (1980-2000). Through qualitative research, the visual discourses proposed in 14 photographs of the book are analyzed, proposing three categories of analysis: dead bodies, hooded people and people who observe. The results show a cruel and widespread war. They also show that the exhibition proposes a series of alternative discourses and that the probability that these images allow the development of new memory processes is not only plausible but necessary.
