In this article we focus on the strategic delimitation of the Worker Power Communist Organization (OCPO), one of the most important political-military organizations in the mid 70s in Argentina. Our hypothesis is that OCPO developed an insurrectionist type of strategy, which gave more importance to mass self-defense mechanisms and actions, such as the armed workers' pickets. Also, they discussed the limitations on the development of a guerrilla strategy in the country. We approach these problems from documents and papers produced by the organization between 1969 and 1975, as well as the reconstruction of some specific actions.
