Child pornography is certainly not a recent phenomenon in our society. Most comparative legal systems now provide for criminal offenses targeting the production, distribution, and possession of child pornography. What does represent a relatively modern phenomenon, however, is the selfproduction of pornography, that is, cases in which the production of pornographic records is under the control of the person who appears in them, so that she directs the process of production of the content. In this context, the purpose of this article is to analyse the possibility of applying the child pornography criminal offences regulated by the Chilean Criminal Code to cases of self-production of child pornography.
