This paper addresses the state-of-the-art literature written by women based on a discussion initiated in Chile in August of 2020 in the magazine Palabra Publico. On this occasion, around 15 female writers wrote about literary authorships. This text seeks to gather the different opinions displayed by the discussion and intends to rebuild the conditions in which this controversy emerges in the context of the October 2019 Chilean post-social uprising. Topics addressed in this article are the concept of authorship (according to Aina Pérez, Meri Porras and Nattie Golubov, among other critics and theoreticians); the impact of social networks and platforms in the construction of authorship; the relationship between individual and community in the writing exercise (proposed by female authors like Cristina Rivera Garza, Sara Uribe, Veronica Gerber, among others); the need of an intersectional approach to feminism and a reflection about the political and ethical conditions of sorority; the tensions between literature, feminism and the academy; and the possibilities and constraints of literary criticism to address these new realities.
