This paper deals with the seismic reliability of a reinforced concrete moment frame with Lateral Impact Resilient Double Concave Frictional Pendulum (LIR-DCFP) bearings. This device has an improved inner slider where high-friction forces are developed improving the lateral impact behavior. Incremental Dynamic Analyses were performed to determine the statistics of maximum inter-story drift responses. Fragility curves related to superstructure limit states were constructed. Finally, using the hazard curve, the seismic reliability was evaluated. The reinforced concrete moment frame equipped with LIR-DCFP bearings exhibits better seismic performance than the same superstructure isolated with Double Concave Frictional Pendulum (DCFP) devices.
