The purpose of this article is to develop and compare regression and classification models to predict the number of years of accreditation of pedagogy careers in Chile. For this purpose, a mixed and exploratory research approach was used, using the resolutions and accreditation certificates of 118 pedagogy careers taught by 40 Chilean Universities between 2016 and 2020 (30.8% of the national total), all of them examined. by the National Accreditation Commission (CNA). In this sense, data was processed and grouped in accordance with the dimensions and evaluation criteria defined by the CNA. The findings obtained indicate a logistic regression of 75.55% accuracy, as the most accurate quantitative model when determining the number of years of accreditation in a career. On the other hand, it was possible to verify a high variation between the dimensions observed, product of the large number of subjective evaluations, at the moment of deciding the accreditation.
