Child to-parent-aggression (CPA) can be described as aggressive behaviors directed by a child / adolescent towards their caregivers. The literature that has addressed CPA shows divergences regarding its conceptualization, associated variables, and the use of different methodological approaches. To respond to this need, the objective of this article was to conduct a review of the research that has explicitly addressed CPA. By applying a protocol based on PRISMA, 121 publications were identified in WoS, Scopus, Proquest and Scielo databases, where 27 were finally analyzed. The results indicate a diversity of conceptualizations of CPA. In the associated variables, adolescent psychological factors, contextual variables related to caregivers and sociodemographic are evidenced. The predominant methodological approach is quantitative. The results show the need to enrich the conceptualization of CPA and have a comprehensive framework to address its complexity.
