One of the paradoxes confronting degrowth is the need to provide shelter for the growing global population. In this context the practices and public policies of urban planning and architecture are vital. Urban recycling offers an astute look at public policies in Latin America and Chile, and discusses - in dialogue with the ideas of degrowth - the need to promote housing in existing places, close to workplaces, fostering an exchange where the exploitation of time by capital is diminished.
