This paper offers a microcomparative study of the Spanish and Chilean systems in order to determine whether the Chilean regulation respects the minimum intervention principle, especially with regard to the appeal system. Since the Chilean system establishes a broad control of the arbitration award, an appeal system similar to the Spanish one is proposed, which is more respectful of the aforementioned principle.
