This article is a contribution to labour studies in Latin America. Its objective was to analyse and systematize the impact of the pandemic on scientific production on the world of work, taking as reference the articles generated between January 2020 and April 2021. For this, we have used the Scope Review methodology that has yielded 34 articles dedicated to the subject. The main findings indicate the emergence of new thematic lines, complementary to those indicated by Enrique de la Garza on New Labour Studies (NLS). A high level of scientific production is reported from Brazil and Argentina. In short, we argue that the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic not only deepened the structural weaknesses expressed in more poverty and inequality, but also reconfigured the scientific agenda of labour studies in the region.
