The universities in Chile have fertile ground related to the promotion of environmental practices based on environmental education and social development. It contributes differentiating elements from the project “Education for the care of the environment” for a multicultural education, whose objective was to promote a culture that favors the environment in the UnACh, providing it with spaces for recycling and providing information to the university and surrounding community, in order to generate various actions such as training for educational institutions, work with non-profit organizations, promote recycling activities towards the community through the media and social networks.
