This paper studies how memories favor the continuity of an ethnic-religious group. It focuses on the case of Catholic families who belong to the Armenian community in the city of Padua, Italy. What means Armenia in everyday through processes that I call "family religious memory", which refer to the lived or imaginated past of the descendants of a lineage (Hervieu-Leger, 1993). Qualitative methods have been used in order to capture the symbolic and discursive dimensions of everyday life. In-depth interviews with family albums were applied to capture the ways in which subjects experience and interpret reality (Vasilachis de Gialdino, 2006). Community perspective emerge as a crucial aspect in regard to the integration of religious life and membership, the representation of diaspora and Armenians places of memory in Italy.
