This article presents some ideas about the experience of training Family Therapists in Medellin Colombia, as a contribution to the visibility of the importance of such training in the region, the rigor to which the professional and the institutional responsibility when this commitment is assumed. This interdisciplinary commitment corresponds in this case to the nature of a University Institution whose mission and vision highlight the integrity of the human being, which is consistent with the premise of working for self for the exercise of family therapy.
