An adaptive internal model disturbance observer based control scheme for surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, an extended SPMSM model is given by considering the external disturbances and parameter mismatches. Secondly, an adaptive internal model observer is introduced to estimate the disturbances by parameter mismatches in the current loops. Thirdly, based on the observed disturbances, the current scheme that based on the model predictive control is attained. Finally, Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the model predictive current control algorithm based on the AIMO.
