All public officials have the right to receive a subsidy called per diem when they go out to the field to fulfill their functions, as indicated by the administrative framework that governs public institutions. In 2018, the Regional Comptroller of La Araucania, ordered to investigate possible irregularities related to official duties, non-compliance with the working day, and on the use and circulation of a state vehicle by officials of the SERVIU Araucania. The investigation detected a set of irregularities associated with the process for requesting tasks and payment of per diem, concluding that it was deficient and lacked adequate control. This proposal aims to show an experience of improvement of the process for requesting tasks and payment of per diem in the SERVIU Araucania.
