Hegel's Frankfurt theological writings-which are indeed a critique of Judaism-let us discover how important the concept of love was for Hegel. In this sense, the text "HEGEL ET LES JUIFS" from Emmanuel Levinas engages discussion precisely around this topic of Hegel's thought. Our aim is to argue how, in this discussion with Hegel, Levinas engages silently, in the background, a critical confrontation not only with certain conceptions of Judaism, but at the same time delivers his very personal critique of Christianism, on what is in fact the terrain of confrontation of both religions in Levinas' view.
