In this article, we report exploratory results for typical first and second order statistics of the mm-wave channel in the presence of pedestrian traffic, when an outdoor base station serves an indoor user. We observe that the number of lobes at the subscriber unit allows exploiting the benefits of angular combiners. The classic theoretical models widely used to describe the average fade duration and level crossing rates in mobile links did not fit well to the data, as also observed at lower frequency bands. For the tested positions, the processing effort to align (automatically) the antenna beams should be no larger than 25 ms.
