Currently, all Higher Education Institutions include the use of Information and Communication Technologies in their educational models, with special emphasis on the use of specialized software that facilitate the acquisition of professional skills by students. The high degree of technological development and communications constitute an unavoidable improvement opportunity for educational institutions, which promotes the implementation of active and participatory strategies that contribute to the improvement of methodological activity in the different training specialties of Higher Education. This article presents the proposal for an active and participatory strategy aimed at teachers of the Health and Education careers of the Andres Bello University, Chile, based on the use of specialized software. The collection of qualitative and quantitative data was obtained through the application of open interviews and non-participatory observation, which allowed to know the reality of the object of study.
