Introduction: In the field of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, many necessary clinical skills are challenging to acquire because the medical history and physical examination are closely linked with intimacy. Simulation has emerged as an alternative in which standardized patients could facilitate the learning of clinical and communicational competencies. The purpose of this work is to measure the satisfaction and perception of the acquisition of skills by students exposed to ambulatory simulation scenarios in rooms with unidirectional mirror. Materials and methods: The training was conducted on sixth-year medical interns and first-year specialty residents, with standardized patients in scenarios that covered the most prevalent pathologies in the ambulatory area. A theoretical mini test and a survey were carried out. Results: 606 mini-tests and 590 questionnaires were obtained. 99% of the respondents reported that they received useful feedback and 96.2% that they improve skills. 100% agree or completely agree that the sessions allow them to make mistakes safely, and 97.5% consider them excellent or good. Conclusión: The implementation of simulation with standardized patients is well evaluated by the students and improves their competencies, encouraging us to develop it further.
