In this essay the author reflects on the social interactions between levels, academic success and the functional aspects of the university institution, following the ecological systemic theory proposed by Bronferbrenner. Through a critical reflection of the literature used, it is determined that the institution is not only an objective space, since it is relevant to consider the value that subjects assign to the tasks and relationships with others, so that the interactions that take place in the university spaces focus on institutional culture and educational polices that determine academic practices and university life, whose institutional function turns out to be socializing, instructive, and educational.
