The tension between the discourses of the current Chilean school and the Mapuche cultural reality itself has a clear historical background: the process of cultural imposition undertaken by the State since the last third of the 19th century. Various strategies were used, such as military and educational. Christianity as a belief and Spanish as a language that had been spread by the Church during the Conquest and the Colony, were reinforced by the Republic with lay values of progress. In this paper we will investigate the alternative to this paradigm from the school KOM PU LOF NI KIMELTUWE, located on the shores of Lake Budi, from 2007 to date.
